How I work with you
My training and experience
I trained in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the West Midlands. This training culminated in me being awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS). As part of my training, I completed several specialised fellowships including a visiting fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction at a leading centre in Canada and a senior fellowship in adult and paediatric foot and ankle surgery at the world renowned Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham.
Subsequently, I pursued a second fellowship in advanced foot and ankle surgery as well as diabetic foot reconstruction from the esteemed unit at King’s College Hospital in London, both accredited by the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
I’m now a Consultant at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, one of the top-ranked specialised hospitals in the world, and an honorary consultant at the University Hospitals Birmingham and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
I’m passionate about research and the advancement of surgical techniques, as well as training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons. I published several academic papers in peer-reviewed journals and contributed a chapter to a textbook. I received a Master’s degree in surgical sciences from the University of Edinburgh. During my studies, I conducted research on surgical education and was honoured with a distinction for my work. I’m an honorary lecturer at Aston University and a faculty member for national and international courses.
When I’m not looking after feet, I enjoy spending time with my family (I have two kids), mountain biking, and spending time reading and reflecting.
